Tube Screamers (Review-ish thing)

A few years ago I finally broke down and decided to pickup a Tube Screamer. I picked up the roughest looking 808 I could find off of ebay at the time and patiently waited. When it arrived,  I immediately plugged it in and was fairly impressed. Like some musicians
I had been avoiding giving into buying into whatever hype was around Tube Screamers. Even though I think at the time I still had my JHS Morning Glory that, of course, I bought be cause of hype…. I cant answer for what 21 year old me did… I still question Continue reading “Tube Screamers (Review-ish thing)”

Donner Yellow Fall Delay

I must say I was actually pleasantly surprised with this little guy. I mainly bought it as a gag gift to myself since one of my favorite video game series is Fallout and Fallout 4 had been out for a month or two. I told myself if it sucked it’d at least make a nice addition to my Fallout collection. BTW, My wife judged me on my reasoning for buying it. And for getting a blue knob to add to the effect… Like I said, gag gift.

Anyway, before I ordered, I figured this would be a crap pedal and would probably just sit on my board until I got a Memory Man or the Chase Bliss Tonal Recall came out and didn’t get my hopes up. When it came Continue reading “Donner Yellow Fall Delay”

So you think Klons are over hyped?

Have you ever thought, ” ohhhhh there are sooooo many Klon Klones out there… It’s getting ridiculous.” With it’s semi large hoof print and transparent tones, It is a pretty sweet overdrive. But Let me introduce you to the old kid on the block: Continue reading “So you think Klons are over hyped?”

My Nose Pedals Experience…

I had been debating on not posting this topic so I could keep a bad review off my site for as long as I could but I felt I needed to make people aware. I placed an order for a multi tap tempo switch on January 13th. The site stated that in stock items shipped withing 4 days and customs with in 7-10 days. I wasn’t sure which this fell under so I figured it would be about two weeks. Two weeks went by Continue reading “My Nose Pedals Experience…”

Matthews Effects Astronomer

After a few months of not having a reverb, the Matthews Effects Astronomer was a welcomed addition when the owner, Rick, first announced it late last year. Even if you weren’t wondering why I didn’t have a reverb on my board, I’m going to tell you any way… I simply couldn’t find one that I liked and met my needs Continue reading “Matthews Effects Astronomer”

Oh Snap! Shots fired! Kirk Hammett….

Well, Kirk Hammet, guitarist for the band Metallica, went out on a limb made the statement that he thinks his pedal company is “the first time you’ll see a pedal company being driven by an actual guitar player.” on twitter this week. I haven’t met many pedal company owners but I’m pretty sure the ones I’ve made acquaintances with, play guitar. In fact, I’ve seen them play. I’d also bet that the first person who Continue reading “Oh Snap! Shots fired! Kirk Hammett….”
